Parkland and Heartland Earn Top Seeds for NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship
The NJCAA Division II Volleyball Championship field is set, and Region XXIV is well represented at the top. Heartland Community College has earned the No. 2 overall seed, while Parkland College secured the No. 3 seed, positioning both programs for deep tournament runs.
Heartland enters the national tournament riding a nine-game winning streak and an overall record of 36-4. The Hawks will wait to meet the winner of Sauke Valley and Davisdon-Davie in the second round to open their path to the title
Parkland, following a similar path, enters the national tournament with a 12-game win streak and an overall record of 48-4. The Cobras, also with a bye to the second round, will take on the winner of Neosho County and St. Clair County.
With both programs landing in the top three, Region XXIV once again proves to be one of the strongest volleyball regions in the country. Heartland and Parkland will open championship play with high expectations and a clear path toward a potential national title.
Both teams begin tournament action on Wednesday, November 19th, in hopes of bringing home the NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship trophy.
